Our first paper

In addition to teaching 9th and 12th grade English, I also have a journalism elective. Today the first issue of our newspaper arrived, and it looks pretty spiffy.

We're currently working on adding content to our website, which can be accessed here. As of this posting, there are no photos or articles online. Our student web editor hopes to get things up soon.

Hi,
I was told about your blog by my journalism teacher who reads yours. I am the editor of my school newspaper and I am trying to get my paper going. The past 3 years that I have been here, it hasn't been the greatest and this year I am trying to get out monthly issues and make each issue larger. I wanted to look at what you were doing but your link didn't work. My teacher had tried to sign up for the site as well and he had a hard time figuring it out. So maybe it's just the website that isn't working. Come check out my blog http://merissa-merissasblog.blogspot.com/ I'll be blogging about you soon!!

Hi Merissa,

Thanks for checking out my blog. I am happy to send you a copy of our paper if you would like.

Eventually we will have a PDF version of our first issue. The website link does work, however, we have yet to add any content to it.

Putting out a solid newspaper is a challenge.

I recommend you take a look at my journalism blog, bgjournalismg.blogspot.com, for some more ideas of what we've done with our journalism program.

Feel free to contact me via e-mail too, bgvocab (at) yahoo (dot) com.

Good luck, and happy Halloween!
